Ernest has left home because Rebecca got mad at him. Grief-stricken, Rebecca goes to school. With the help of the Tchums, Grandpa sets out to find Ernest. Ernest, in fact, is bemoaning his fate in the sewers: he misses Rebecca! He decides to go find her at school and rebuild their friendship. On the way there, he comes across a line of patients for Dr. Fakbert. Among them is Freddy, who saw a Tchum and got contaminated by it! Fakbert gets excited and takes on Freddy as his assistant to hunt the viruses and they both work back up the trail of Ernest and the Tchums to the school… Thanks to her friends and Grandpa, Rebecca manages to save Ernest and the Tchums from Dr. Fakbert.
